Dave, focuses on Mentoring and Coaching and is our Learning expert. He has a wealth of experience in the field of education and has worked in schools in North Wales for 28 years, including 10 at Senior Leadership Level. Dave holds the National Professional Qualification in Headship (NPQH) .
Dave has over 12 years experience as an Induction Mentor and External Verifier for Newly Qualified Teachers in the area and also holds a Level 5 ILM Diploma in Coaching. Here to support teachers in their early years, Dave works closely with clients to identify and put into action adjustments in technique that can lead to enhanced professional perfromance. A clearly structured Coaching Programme can help professionals to identify and work towards their goals, as well as to reflect honestly on their progress.
Dave is qualified in Philosophy for Children (P4C) to Level 2B which enables him to plan a whole-school approach to P4C and to train colleagues in delivery of pre-planned sessions. He also has wide-ranging experience in supporting individuals with ASD and ADHD and has undertaken accredited training with both the National Autistic Society and the ADHD Foundation.
Elaine, initially trained as a secondary school teacher of science, before specialising in Dietetics in 1994. Clinically she has worked across primary, secondary and. Tertiary care, and her clinical specialities are diabetes, mental health and eating disorders. Elaine combined her teaching skills with her care for patients, and has written and developed Award Winning programmes of group education. It was considering the ways that groups could function for different groups, with a different task led her to undertake further training in Group Analysis with the Institute of Group Analysis. Elaine conducted a slow open therapy group for people with diabetes which ran for over 6 years within the NHS. Elaine conducted on-line reflective practice groups for the Glasgow Foundation Training in Group Analysis, and conducts group work for Doctors in Distress.
